Means

Clyde E. Means, 77, of Butler, formerly of Dawson, Fayette County, died Monday at Valencia Woods.

Born Oct. 24, 1929, in Frank, Allegheny County, he was the son of Clyde E. Sr. and Ruth M. Miller Means.

He attended the Phillip G. Cochran United Methodist Church in Dawson.

Mr. Means was a member of the Butler Bocce Association and the Butler Moose Club. He enjoyed NASCAR and sports.

He was a dispatcher at Chemical Leaman Tank Lines Inc.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Brian (Ruth) Greenert of Butler; his dog and best friend, Sammy; a sister, Mrs. John (Phyllis) Ansell of Prospect; a brother, Richard A. Means of Scottdale, Westmoreland County; and nieces, nephews and great-nieces.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Louise Giles Means, and an infant brother, Charles Means.

<B>MEANS</B> — Friends of Clyde E. Means, who died Monday, Aug. 20, 2007, will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, 127 W. Jefferson St. Services will follow at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Lisa Grant, pastor of the Christ Community United Methodist Church, officiating.
