SLIPPERYROCK — Marcus Hudson, a former second assistant coach at Shippensburg University, has been named the interim assistant men's basketball coach at Slippery Rock University.Hudson succeeds Seth Martin as the top assistant on second-year head coach Jamal Palmer's staff.Hudson was a standout player on Shippensburg's teams that posted 17-11 and 24-7 won-loss records in consecutive years, receiving a national ranking for the first time in school history.
LATROBE — The Tri-State PGA defeated the West Penn Golf Association, 10-7, to win the 2007 Palmer Cup Wednesday at Latrobe Country Club.St. Jude club pro Sean Knapp teamed with Ron Coleman for the WPGA's lone win in the afternoon session. John Aubrey of Butler teamed with Roy Vucinich to win a match for the TSPGA during the event, which featured single matches in the morning and four-ball matches in the afternoon.
