August 26, 2005.

August comes with sad regret,

It brings back a day I can never forget.

The call was sudden, the shock severe.

I never thought such grief was near.

I could not say my last farewell,

Or even say goodbye,

For you were gone before I knew

And only God knows why.

To some you are forgotten.

To others a part of the past.

But to me who loved and lost you

Your love will always last.

I think of you in silence,

No eyes may see me weep,

But many silent tears are shed,

While others are asleep.

Some may think I'm lonely,

When at times they see me smile,

Little do they know the heartaches

I suffer all the while.

I miss you, Jim, my heart is sore,

As time goes by I miss you more.

Your loving smile, your gentle face,

No one can ever take your place.

May God give me courage and faith,

Till someday I will again be with you.
