Carnegie to use timed ticketing, raise its prices
PITTSBURGH — The Carnegie Museum of Natural History is raising prices and will use timed ticketing when it opens its new $36 million dinosaur exhibit in November.
The first phase of the "Dinosaurs in Their Time" exhibit will open Nov. 21, and the rest of the display will open next spring. The new exhibit will be more than three times the size of the museum's former exhibit, Dinosaur Hall.
Museum admission prices will increase from $10 to $15 for adults, from $7 to $12 for seniors, and from $6 to $11 for children ages 3 to 18.
The museum also will allow no more than 125 to 150 people to view the exhibit every 15 minutes.
Tickets can be purchased online now at www.carnegieonline.org.
