Pirates sign top draft pick Moskos
PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Pirates signed first-round draft pick Daniel Moskos on Tuesday and assigned him to their Bradenton farm club in the rookie Gulf Coast League.
Moskos, a 21-year-old left-hander from Clemson, was given a $2,475,000 signing bonus despite mediocre statistics this season: a 3-6 record, 3.29 ERA and .276 opponents' batting average in 27 appearances.
