WESTMIDDLESEX — Jenna Rinker, 16, of Slippery Rock, shot an 83 and won on a playoff hole to capture the Kings Family Restaurants Junior Golf Tournament at Oak Tree Country Club Tuesday.

Rinker, who shot a 38 on the front nine, tied Kelly Nickerson of Pittsburgh, then beat her on the first playoff hole to win the championship.

Rinker has won four tournaments this summer.

BUTLER TWP — The Butler Township 11- and 12-year-old all-star baseball team will host the District 25 championship game at 6 p.m. Saturday at Adelman Field.Butler Township's opponent has not been determined.

McMURRAY, Pa. — Four area golf professionals will take part in the Frank B. Fuhrer Jr. Invitational, which will be held Monday through Wednesday at Valley Brook Country Club.John Aubrey of Aubrey's Dubbs Dred, Rob McClellan of Butler Country Club and Joe Boros and Travis Dickson of Treesdale will play in the 72-hole event.

FARMINGTON, Pa. — Saxonburg resident and Treesdale Golf and Country Club pro Joe Boros finished in a three-way tie for fifth place at the West Penn Open, which concluded Tuesday at Mystic Rock Golf Course.Boros shot a 71 on Tuesday and ended the two-day event one stroke over par at 145.Grove City native Cameron Peterson competed as an amateur and finished tied for 26th with a 152.Butler Country Club's Robert McClellan tied for 29th with a 153.Treesdale's Travis Dickson tied for 35th place at 154.
