Anthony J. Kiefer Sr., 84, of Callery died Monday at UPMC Passavant Hospital, McCandless Township.

Born June 25, 1922, in McKees Rocks, he was the son of Joseph and Amelia Wolbert Kiefer.

Mr. Kiefer was a World War II Navy veteran and a member of the American Legion Post 219 in Evans City.

He was also a member of St. Kilian Catholic Church in Mars.

He had been the plant manager at Marburger Farm Dairy for 30 years. He enjoyed woodworking, football, baseball and spending time at his camp.

He is survived by three daughters, Kathleen Lutz and her husband, Richard, of Butler, Deborah Heffley and her husband, Gregg, of Gibsonia and Teresa Bricker and her husband, Randy, of Renfrew, and two sons, Anthony J. Kiefer Jr. and his wife, Patricia, of Portersville and Thomas E. Kiefer and his wife, Sally, of Evans City. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Cartwright Kiefer, who died Feb. 26, 1995; a brother, Mike Kiefer, and a granddaughter.

<B>KIEFER </B>— Friends of Anthony J. Kiefer Sr., who died Monday, May 28, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Boylan Funeral Home</B>, 116 E. Main St., Evans City. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Kilian Roman Catholic Church, 212 Hook St., Mars, with the Rev. Charles Bober officiating.
