Lois C. Brinton, 89, of Saxonburg, formerly of Renfrew, died Friday at Valencia Woods.

Born March 12, 1918, in Homestead Park, Allegheny County, she was the daughter of John and Hilda Jones Chamberlin.

She was a member of the Cabot United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Brinton served in the Army as a nurse during World War II. She then continued to serve her country by caring for veterans at the Deshon Veterans Administration Hospital, now the Butler Veterans Affairs Medical Center, until she retired.

She loved nature and was a supporter of many organizations such as the Humane Society and Audubon Society.

Her generous nature and sense of humor will be missed by her family and friends.

Surviving are a sister, Ora Noble of Cabot; a brother, John (Betty) Chamberlin of Pittsburgh; two nephews, John (Dolores) Noble Sr. and Jim (Sherry) Chamberlin; two nieces, Joanne (Joe) Chamberlin and Jeanie (David) Woncheck; 10 great-nieces and great-nephews; 12 great-great- nieces and great-great-nephews; and her special friends, the Cudock family of Mars.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, George Orr; her second husband, James Brinton, and a nephew, James Noble Jr.
