Maksanty

Stanley Maksanty, 82, of Butler died at 8:20 a.m. Monday at the Lowrie House after a long illness.

Born May 25, 1924, in Butler, he was the son of Thomas and Mary Kutchek Maksanty.

He was a member of St. Fidelis Catholic Church.

During World War II, he was a member of Army's 874th Bomb Squad and was a member of the VFW Post 249 and the American Legion Post 778.

Mr. Maksanty enjoyed golfing, singing, dancing and playing the lottery.

He retired from the wheel works department at Armco-Butler Works after 44 years.

Surviving are two daughters, Chris Sisk of Edgewood, Texas, and Lisa Kuhn of Butler; two sons, John Maksanty of Woodbridge, Va., and Jim Maksanty of Butler; four grandchildren; a brother, Andy Maksanty, and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.
