Cecil C. Kornrumph, 83, of 104 Fairlawn Drive died 5:15 p.m. Saturday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Jan. 8, 1924, in Butler, he was the son of Ralph and Elsie Caldwell Kornrumph.

He had worked in the stainless inspection department at Butler ARMCO, retiring in 1983 after 39 years.

He was a member of the William H. Miller Lodge 769 F.&A.M., the Unionville United Presbyterian Church, and a life member of the Joseph T. Black Post 249 VFW.

He was an Army veteran who served in Europe as a surgical technician during the Battle of the Bulge. He received five bronze stars.

Surviving are his wife, Marie Kelly, whom he married on Jan. 17, 1947; a daughter, Mrs. Roger (Beverly) Engle of Knox; a grandson, Edward Engle of Gaithersburg, Md.; a brother, Richard Kornrumpf of Vero Beach, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two sisters.

<B>Kornrumph — </B>Funeral services for Cecil C. Kornrumph, who died Saturday, May 19, 2007, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, </B>with the Rev. Matthew Kail of Unionville United Presbyterian Church officiating. There will be no public visitation.
