Orpha B. Eaton, 85, formerly of Harrisville, died at 10:25 a.m. Monday at Grove Manor in Grove City, where she made her home since March.

Born in Harrisville, July 21, 1921, she was the daughter of James H. and Jane Shuttleworth Lumley.

She attended the Harrisville High School and had been a clerk at the A&P grocery store in Grove City. She also had been a clerk at the Clover Farm Store in Harrisville.

Mrs. Eaton was a member of West United Community Church in Marion Township and was a former Sunday schoolteacher.

She enjoyed sewing, quilting and gardening.

Surviving are her husband, James W. "Wally" Eaton, whom she married Feb. 18, 1961; two daughters, Marjorie J. Hines and her husband, Russell D., of Cochranton and Nancy L. Craig and her husband, Herb, of Sligo; a son, K. James Wilson and his wife, Wendy, of Huntsville, Ohio; a stepdaughter, Lois A. Miller and her husband, Donald F., of Harrisville; two stepsons, John W. Eaton and his wife, Jodi, of Hamilton, N.J., and James M. Eaton of Erie; and a brother, Dean Lumley and his wife, Alice of Grove City.

Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, 10 step-grandchildren and nine step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, John H. Wilson, who died July 2, 1941; a grandson; three step-grandchildren; and eight brothers.

<B>EATON</B> — Friends of Orpha B. Eaton, who died Monday, May 14, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Jamison Funeral Home</B>, 117 N. Main St., Harrisville. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the West Unity Community Church with the Rev. Boyd Smith officiating.
