Butler County's great daily newspaper

the pet issue

I don't own a dog and am not a "dog person." One of my neighbors' dogs has gone to the bathroom in my yard a few times. If it keeps happening I may say something to my neighbor. I think killing someone's pet is extreme. Whatever happened to talking things out and coming to a peaceful resolution? I have known several people whose dogs were killed by neighbors. One dog was a pomeranian who happened to get loose once. I don't think anyone's safety was in danger. I think my issue is more of a gun issue than a pet issue. I do not support gun control of any kind, but I am concerned because a lot of people act like idiots when they use their guns, and they're not helping the cause. Mark, from your post I don't believe you understand what sarcasm is, and Mary, yes there is a leash law but I don't believe it has any mention of shooting pets in it. Andy, you may need to speak in more concrete terms on this site, it is mostly people from Butler reading.
