Shane P Harvey of Chicora is a new junior member of the American Angus Association, according to John Crouch, executive vice president of the national organization that has its headquarters in Saint Joseph, Mo.

Junior members are eligible to register cattle in the association, participate in programs by the National Junior Angus Association and take part in association sponsored shows and other national and regional events.

The American Angus Association has more than 34,000 active adult and junior members.
