James Matson's letter
I saw the reply to James Matson's letter and then read his letter. This is very scary to me in his thinking he has the right of way just because he is driving a rig. It makes you wonder how many other big rig drivers think this also. Just this week, I was in Cranberry, going west on 9-10 and a rig coming off route 19, turned right onto 9-10, never even slowing at his stop sign, and pulling out right in front of me. Yes, they are hard to slow down and as you said in your letter, if you have to stop, you lose momentum but so what? What if there was a child walking in front of your truck when you decided not to slow down and stop? The laws were not made for just some. You are NOT exempt! If you don't want to abide by the law, please drop off the rig and save some lives. I venture to say you've been very lucky if you haven't killed someone with your thinking. It's scary to think that I have a smaller car and my life may depend on your thinking. Please abide by the laws...you might also be saving yourself some time in jail. Your luck (or ours, with your way of thinking) has to run out sometime. If you don't believe us here, please go ask your friends and family and see if they agree with you. Bet ya they don't!
