Fun. Exercise. Education.

The Perfect Swing driving range and golf school has provided this to thousands of patrons since it opened its doors in May 1981.

Owners Joyce and Bill Hoffman have strived to build the establishment from a small, efficient driving range and lesson center to the area's major driving range and first-rate teaching facility.

The Perfect Swing offers a comprehensive lesson program. Elaine Carson, one of the finest instructors in the area, has been teaching at The Perfect Swing's golf school for 18 years. Her method includes hands-on instruction, along with computer and video analysis.

The Perfect Swing's junior golf program has been in existence for more than 20 years. Youngsters between 7 and 17 years of age have fun while learning the fundamentals of golf and the rules and etiquette of the game. On average, 45 juniors take lessons at The Perfect Swing every Saturday throughout the summer.

Practicing your golf stroke at a driving range is beneficial to your game. Here are some tips to make your efforts more fruitful:

• Allot proper time to accomplish your goals.

• Stretch and warm up before swinging.

• Always begin with your wedge and progress to your driver, finishing with your wedge as you wind down.

• Always choose a particular target for each shot.

• Imagine a golf hole you like to play and hit your practice shots as though you were playing that hole.

Gift certificates from The Perfect Swing are ideal for all occasions. The gift certificates, which are good throughout the season, can pay for lessons, the junior golf program, or punch cards for the driving range.

The popular punch card program provides discounts on the purchase of buckets of balls. The punch cards are accepted throughout the season, and there's a rollover provision for the next year.
