I heard on TV that the young man who did those terrible shootings was miserable in the school setting for years and years.

I just hope the tragedy at VT will wake up people who tend to ignore kids who are bullied all through their school years.

As a former EEO person, I have been amazed that our kids have to endure all kinds of harassment in school - that adults would never have to tolerate in the workplace: from sexual harassment to physical abuse to verbal abuse.

If the laws, that mandate that employees must be able to work in a non-hostile environment,were applied to the school environment, and bullies were taken to task - legally - for their nastiness and abuse of other kids, what a difference it could make.
