Jean A. Chiavaro, 78, of Allison Park, formerly of Butler, died at 1:30 a.m. Friday at Chicora Medical Center.

Born Oct. 20, 1928, in Sharon, she was the daughter of Edgar Allen Poe and Estella Alberta Martin Miller.

She was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church, Maqueda Chapter OES, White Shrine of Jerusalem, and Daughters of the Nile. She enjoyed sewing and doing crafts.

Surviving are a sister, Mrs. William (Mae) Wonderling of Butler; two nieces, Joan Jones, and Mrs. Rich (Carol) Tritch, all of Butler; a nephew, James, and his wife Judy Krumpe Wonderling of Saxonburg; and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald A. Chiavaro, who died May 1, 1996.
