Joshua Goyette
I am glad that the scum Joshua Goyette got 26-56 years in prison.I hope this sick individual stays in for the full term. Let this be a lesson to anyone who preys on our elderly citizens (and anyone who preys on another for that matter) It is nice to see a little Justice for a change. Also, I agree about the buses. What kind of thinking is involved there? To run a bus for hours on end? I would like to hear from the bus drivers before I cast a final opinion on this but I must say it sounds rather unlikely that they will have a satisfactory reason for such behavior. I bet if they were actually paying for the fuel it would have been different. I also would like to voice my respects for the students who were killed at Virginia Tech. What a terrible tragedy. Some would argue gun control. I do not. I think that it is the right of every legal citizen of the United States to carry a weapon for self defense which is backed by the Constitution.I further argue that if more people (of sound mind) carried guns that the statistics of violent crime would level off and then fall off the charts.Education and training is the key. I bet that any one of the students affected by the recent tragedy would have given their right arm to have had a weapon to defend themselves and their fellow students against the twisted assailant they faced. You will never stop a criminal from being dangerous or having a weapon to attack you with. Criminals are a cowardly lot who have no regard for anyone but themselves. That being said, I feel that our best defense is to be ready where ever and whenever with knowledge and a weapon. In the correct hands they can do much good. I also feel that if everyone was educated and armed, the cowardly crimals would think twice before attacking anyone. Would you knowingly attack someone who was armed and ready and could just as easily do harm to you? I wouldn't think so; at the very least it would make the criminals think twice. This will probably spark much discussion, and that is a good thing, right? Regards, John
