Glenn H. "Pee-Wee" Geibel, 78, of Butler died unexpectedly Wedn-esday morning at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born at the family homestead in Butler on April 2, 1928, he was a son of Dessiderius "Dess" and Anna Mary Waltman Geibel Gallagher.

For more than 40 years, he was a cement finisher working from the Cement Masons Local 526 of Pittsburgh.

Mr. Geibel was a four-year veteran of the Marine Corps and had been stationed in Panama after World War II.

He was a member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church. He was also an active member of the Happy Hunters Sportsmen's Club in Fenelton, the VFW Post in Cherry Valley and the East Butler Firemen's Club.

He enjoyed all outdoor sporting activities, including hunting and fishing at his camp and especially spending those times with his large family and many friends.

Surviving are his wife, Janice Oldaker Geibel, whom he married Sept. 6, 1952; three daughters, Michelle "Mickey," Debbie and Brenda Geibel, all of Butler; a foster daughter, Marcia, her son, Timothy and her grandson, Elijah; a brother, Victor Geibel and his wife, Annabelle, of Butler; and three sisters, Marcella "Sally" Schnur, Leona Farnen and Mrs. Ralph (Lauretta) Christie, all of Butler. Many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Russell Geibel, and two sisters, Delores and Hazel Geibel.

<B>GEIBEL</B> — Friends of Glenn H. "Pee-Wee" Geibel, who died Wednesday, March 21, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at <B>GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter Catholic Church, 127 Franklin St., with the Rev. Pierre Falkenhan officiating.Burial with military honors will follow at the Butler County Memorial Park cemetery, Butler Township.The Women's Council of St. Peter will recite the rosary at 9:10 a.m. Saturday at the Church.Memorial donations may be made to the Butler Area Visiting Nurses Association, 154 Hindman Road, Butler, PA 16001.Information also is available at www.geibelfuneralhome.com.
