Anita "Cookie" Secunda Roskens of Middlebury, Vt., died Feb. 14.

Anita was born in tandem with her twin sister, Bonita, on Aug. 24, 1949, in Butler to Stephen and Edna (Ammon) Secunda.

One of nine children, Cookie was a free-spirited soul, one who willingly shared her loving heart, worldly goods, sense of adventure and humor with all who passed through her life.

Anita is survived by her cherished daughter, Violet Roskens of Burlington, Vt.; her precious granddaughter, Zanai of Pittsburgh; and her ex-husband, DelRoy Roskens of Boston.

In addition Anita is survived by eight brothers and sisters, Stephen (Nancy) of Port Orange, Fla., William of Butler, Joan (Dominic) Codispot of Butler, Dennis (Cheryl) of Port Orange, Bonita, Melissa and Colin of Middlebury, Barbara Secunda and her son, Jacob, of Daytona Beach, Fla., Elizabeth (Randy) Cessna of Edgewater, Fla., and Walter (Deborah) of Ormond Beach, Fla.; Anita's' partner, Jim Morris of Middlebury; 18 nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews; and numerous aunts, uncles and friends.

Anita was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Cara (Star).
