Hoover

Walter H. "Shorty" Hoover Jr., 80, of Butler died Tuesday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Feb. 28, 1927, in Renfrew, he was the son of Walter C. and Marie Streitman Hoover.

Mr. Hoover retired from the south processing maintenance department at Armco-Butler Works in 1990 after 35 years.

He was a World War II Navy veteran and served in the South Pacific.

Surviving are his wife, Shirley Ann Hutchison Hoover, whom he married Oct. 17, 1953; seven children; two grandchildren, and a sister.
