SLIPPERY ROCK — Slippery Rock University sophomore outfielders Scott Bender and Meghan McHenry were named PSAC West Baseball and Softball Players of the Week, respectively.

Bender went 6-for-7 in a doubleheader against Gannon, which included three doubles and a triple, plus four RBI, three runs and two stolen bases. In one game against Lock Haven, Bender went 3-for-5 with a home run and five RBI.

McHenry went 3-for-5 with a double and a home run with five RBI and two runs scored in a doubleheader sweep over Seton Hill.

John Aubrey Sr. of Aubrey's Dubbs Dred and John Mazza of Fox Run Golf Course teamed with amateurs Frank Fairman and Stan Namola to place second with a 62-73-135 at the 2007 Mizuno Pro-Pro-Am-Am Monday at Allegheny Country Club in Sewickley.The team of professionals Roy Vucinich of Allegheny Country Club and Jim Antkiewicz of The Club at Nevillewood, and amateurs Todd Renner and Paul Schlachter fired a 65-69-134.Aubrey and Mazza also placed fifth in the Pro-Pro Better Ball Event with a 30-37 67.
