Butler resident Bill Wilson will swim the English Channel sometime between Sept. 4 and Sept. 10 this year.

His workout regimen will include a six-hour marathon swim from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 14 at the Butler County Family YMCA pool.

During those six hours, Wilson will stop swimming only for a 30-second high-carb liquid feeding break every hour.

The fundraiser includes swimming a lap with Wilson for $1 or contributing money for each lap he swims.

The participant who guesses how many total laps Wilson swims will win half he money collected. Raffles for sports memorabilia will be held as well.

Keno agreed to a five-year contract.The 68-year-old Davis also made stops at Lafayette, Boston College, Stanford and Iowa. He spent the past four years at Drake, leading the once-hapless program to its first winning record since 1987 last season.
