To Karen Sue Michael

She was not only my cousin but also my friend,

More like my big sister until the very end.

We've known each other since we were small,

Growing up with Karen was such a ball.

We shared our hopes and dreams with each other,

She was there for me when I lost my mother.

I could call her anytime of the day,

And if I needed her, she was on her way.

With a shoulder to cry on, or just lend an ear,

I always knew her heart of gold was near.

She is an angel now in Heaven that is true,

But I know she is watching over me and you.
