CLEVELAND — Steve Nash scored 23 points and kept the Phoenix's high-energy offense purring with 15 assists as the Suns extended their winning streak to 17 games — the NBA's longest in seven years — by beating the Cleveland Cavaliers 115-100 on Sunday.

Phoenix's 17-game streak is tied for the fifth longest in NBA history, and with three more victories the Suns would match the second-best streak, a 20-gamer by the 1970-71 Milwaukee Bucks.

MIAMI — Reggie Bush was fined $5,000 by the NFL for taunting during his 88-yard touchdown reception in New Orleans' NFC championship game loss at Chicago last week.Although the rookie running back was not penalized for pointing back at Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher or for somersaulting into the end zone, he subsequently received the league's standard punishment for taunting.

MOBILE, Ala. — Ohio State's Troy Smith outplayed Florida's Chris Leak in a rematch of quarterbacks from the national championship game, leading the North to three scores and a 27-0 win over the South in the Senior Bowl on Saturday.The game was the first shutout in the 58-year history of the Senior Bowl.Both Smith and Leak were fighting to improve their standing in a draft that will include Notre Dame quarterback Brady Quinn, who didn't play because of an injury, and LSU's JaMarcus Russell, who was ineligible to play as a junior.
