Several high school basketball games were postponed due to weather Friday night.

The Union vs. Redbank Valley boys and girls doubleheader was postponed and rescheduled for Saturday. The girls game will begin at 6 p.m., followed by the boys game at 7:30.

The West Forest girls game at Moniteau, the A-CValley girls game at Keystone and the North Clarion girls tilt at Karns City also were postponed.

No makeup dates for those games have been announced.

The third annual Moraine Angler-Outdoors Adventure Show, held by the Mental Health Association in Butler County, takes place Feb. 24 and 25 in the Butler High School cafeteria.This show features 46 vendors displaying the latest in tackle, lures, water craft, guides, fly fishing, charters, taxidermy, skateboards, etc.Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. the first day and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. the second day.Seminars include pursuing coyotes, Erie's fisheries, walleye fishing, live snakes, finding gold in Pennsylvania, hiking the North Trail, baits for big carp, how to make lures and trolling for muskies.Door prizes will be awarded each hour and a Chinese auction will be held.Admission is $6 for adults, $3 for children 12 and under. Children under five are admitted free.

LOS ANGELES — At 28 years and 156 days, Kobe Bryant become the youngest player in NBA history to reach 18,000 points. Bryant scored 32 points Friday in the Los Angeles Lakers' 106-97 loss to Charlotte.Wilt Chamberlain was the youngest at 28 years and 166 days, followed by Michael Jordan at 28 years and 359 days.

TAMPA, Fla. — Martin Brodeur made 28 saves, extending his NHL record for consecutive 30-win seasons to 11, and the New Jersey Devils beat the Tampa Bay Lightning 2-0 Friday.Brodeur (30-13-4) also recorded his NHL-best ninth shutout this season and the 89th of his career.

MILWAUKEE — Raja Bell scored 27 points to lead all five Phoenix starters in double figures, and the Suns set a franchise record with their 16th straight victory by beating the scrappy Milwaukee Bucks 98-90 Friday.The Suns, who have won 32 of 34 overall, had a 15-game winning streak earlier this season, a run that ended with a 144-139 overtime loss to Washington on Dec. 22.The victory gave Phoenix a tie for the 10th-longest winning streak in NBA history and the longest since the Los Angeles Lakers reeled off 19 straight wins in 2000.

NEW YORK — New York Mets general manager Omar Minaya will be among a delegation of baseball officials going to Accra, Ghana, next week to hold a clinic and promote baseball.Hall of Famer Dave Winfield, former San Francisco and Chicago Cubs manager Dusty Baker also will be on the trip along with Dave Stewart, Bob Watson and Reggie Smith. The group is scheduled to leave New York Thursday, spend four days in Ghana and return Feb. 6.

LOS ANGELES — Jay Norvell, an assistant football coach who helped Nebraska develop a prolific, well-balanced offense, joined UCLA's staff Friday as offensive coordinator.Norvell brings his "West Coast" style of offense back to California, where he was an assistant with the Oakland Raiders for two years before moving with head coach Bill Callahan to Nebraska following the 2003 season.

GUANGZHOU, China — Germany and the United States played a scoreless draw, and China picked up a 2-0 victory over England on the first day of the Four Nations women's soccer tournament in southern China Friday.The much-anticipated match between Germany — the world's No. 1 team — and the second-ranked Americans featured few chances for either side.
