Giovengo, Northrop

A Sept. 1, 2007 wedding is being planned by Leah Giovengo and Benjamin Northrop.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Jennifer Oakes Giovengo of Valencia and Dale Giovengo of Allison Park. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are James and Linda Northrop of Wexford.

The bride-elect is a 2000 graduate of Allegheny College and received her master's degree in counseling psychology from Chatham College in December 2006. She is currently employed at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center's Child and Adolescent Bipolar Services as a research clinician. She also teaches children's and family yoga at Schoolhouse Yoga in Squirrel Hill and in the Strip District.

Her fiancé is a 1999 graduate of Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, earning a degree in Information and Decision Systems. He is pursuing his master's degree in philosophy at Carnegie Mellon University. He is currently employed at SDLC Partners as a lead software developer.
