Amanda Chojnacki recorded 10 points and 12 rebounds as the Slippery Rock University women's basketball team defeated Fairmont (W.Va.) State. 52-44, Tuesday night in the Lady Falcon New Year's Classic.

It was the first double- double of the season for the senior forward.

Sophomore Amanda Nero led The Rock with 12 points while Nijha McNeely and Dana Stewart both had seven rebounds.

SRU will play Concord (6-2) today in the second day of the event.
