The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture has provided this report on the Oct. 23 New Wilmington Livestock Auction.

CATTLE 269 — Steers — Choice 1-3, 1100-1500 lbs., 82.-86.50; select 1-2, 75.-82.; standard 1-2, few, 68.-72. Holstein steers — Choice 2-3, few, 1300-1420 lbs., 71.-77.; select 1-2, one, 67.; standard 1-2, one, 60.50. Heifers — Choice 1-3, 1000-1400 lbs., 80.-87.50. Cows — Breakers, 75-80 percent lean, 45.-52.; boners, 80-85 percent lean, 42.50-47.50; lean, 85-90 percent lean, 38.-44.50; shells 37.50 and down. Bulls — Yield grade 1, 1065-2110 lbs., 56.-69.; yield grade 2, 1160-2260 lbs., 45.-55. Feeder cattle — Steers — Large 3, 625-1025 lbs., 66.-68. Heifers — Medium 1-2, 200-375 lbs., 80.-110. Two, No. 1, Holstein heifers, 100 and 110 lbs., 550. and 575.; one, No. 2,70 lbs., 100. Few, beef cross bulls and heifers, 130-175 lbs., 88.-190.
