AUBURN, Ala. — Darren McFadden ran for 145 yards and Felix Jones added 104 yards rushing as Arkansas pulled off the season's first major upset with a 27-10 victory over No. 2 Auburn on Saturday.

McFadden also broke a 63-yard touchdown run and Jones' 1-yard touchdown run gave Arkansas (4-1, 3-0 Southeastern Conference) a 24-10 lead late in the third quarter that was too much for a sputtering Auburn offense to overcome.

The Tigers (5-1, 3-1) had already survived two SEC scares, salvaging wins over South Carolina and No. 9 LSU on late defensive stops. The Razorbacks were the ones making most of the big plays this time.

The 15-point underdogs sacked Brandon Cox five times, including once by Jamaal Anderson and Keith Jackson on fourth-and-9 from the Arkansas 39 on the final play of the third quarter.

On their next possession, the Tigers went three-and-out for the third time in the game. They weren't able to muster any more threats.

Arkansas held Kenny Irons to 75 yards on 15 carries.

The defense stopped the Sooners (3-2, 0-1) on the opening drive of the second half, then McCoy took over.

Ohio State stretched the nation's longest winning streak to 13 in a row.

No. 3 USC 26, Washington 20John David Booty threw for 243 yards and a touchdown, Mario Danelo kicked four field goals and the Trojans outlasted underdog Washington.The Trojans' last loss at the Coliseum was to Stanford in 2001, when current Washington coach Tyrone Willingham was the Cardinal coach. And Willingham, in his second season trying to rebuild a once-great program that won only three games the past two seasons, nearly pulled it off again.USC (5-0, 3-0 Pac-10) scored the first time it had the ball and never trailed, but the game wasn't decided until the final play.

No. 4 West Virginia 42, Mississippi State 14Steve Slaton ran for 185 yards, Pat White rushed for two touchdowns and the West Virginia defense made two interceptions deep in its own territory.Slaton helped West Virginia extend the nation's second-longest win streak to 12 games and moved into fourth on the school career touchdown list with his 24th score in 15 career games.The sophomore had nine runs of 10 yards or more to help the sloppy Mountaineers (5-0) overcome 11 penalties for 132 yards and a handful of big plays by the Bulldogs (1-5).

No. 13 Tennessee 51, No. 10 Georgia 33Erik Ainge and Tennessee shredded the nation's stingiest defense, becoming just the second team to put up 50 points on Georgia between the hedges.Ainge threw for two touchdowns and ran for another to lead in a game that defied the norm in the defensive-minded Southeastern Conference, which had three Top 10 teams lose on the day.

No. 12 Notre Dame 31, Stanford 10Brady Quinn threw for three touchdowns and Darius Walker ran for a season-high 153 yards and a touchdown, leading Notre Dame over winless Stanford.Quinn was 27-of-37 passing for 232 yards, completing TD passes Jeff Samardzija, Rhema McKnight and John Carlson. It was the second straight 100-yard game for Walker and his second best game rushing. Walker, who also had six catches for 45 yards, rushed for 186 yards on 35 carries against Stanford last season.

No. 15 Clemson 27, Wake Forest 17C.J. Spiller ran 72 yards for the go-ahead touchdown and defensive lineman Gaines Adams returned a fumble for a score to spark Clemson's rally from 14 points down in the fourth quarter.

No. 18 Georgia Tech 27, Maryland 23Tashard Choice rushed for a career-high 138 yards and two touchdowns and Georgia Tech rallied from a nine-point deficit and survived a last-minute scare to beat Maryland.

No. 19 Iowa 47, Purdue 17Drew Tate threw two touchdown passes and Damian Sims ran for two more scores to help Iowa reboudd from last week's demoralizing loss to top-ranked Ohio State.

No. 20 Boise State 55, Louisiana Tech 14Jared Zabransky threw for two touchdowns and ran for two more, and Marty Tadman returned an interception 98 yards for Boise State.No. 21 Nebraska 28, Iowa State 14Cody Glenn rushed 148 yards and two touchdowns, Brandon Jackson added 116 yards and a score and the Cornhuskers defense did the rest.

No. 23 Missouri 38, Texas Tech 21Chase Daniel threw for 171 yards and a touchdown, and Missouri returned two interceptions for scores.
