Sophomore goalie Jen McCormick returned to the SlipperyRock University lineup for the first time after undergoing offseason knee surgery and recorded seven saves and didn't give up a goal.

Unfortunately for the SRU women's soccer team, the offense didn't score a goal either in a 0-0 tie against Bloomsburg University Thursday.

The Rock (7-1-1) outshot the Huskies 20-13.

Anastasia Urbanik recorded 18 kills and had three blocks Tuesday night to lead the Slippery Rock University women's volleyball team to a 3-1 victory over Edinboro at Morrow Field House Wednesday night.The Rock (12-3, 2-1) won the match 30-18, 30-17, 28-30, 30-22. Louise Schultz contributed 11 kills, four aces and three blocks, with Jen Blasko adding nine kills, 13 digs and two aces.SRU faces Shippensburg at 5 p.m. today at Indiana (Pa.) University. The Rock's next home match is at 7 p.m. Oct. 3 against Clarion.
