JAUNT TO JOHNSTOWN

Visitors to the Frank and Sylvia Pasquerilla Heritage Discovery Center in Johnstown can see a number of interesting and educational sights, including this display of an open hearth.

WHAT: Johnstown Flood Museum, Frank and Sylvia Pasquerilla Heritage Discovery Center, and the Wagner-Ritter House and Garden, all operated by the Johnstown Area Heritage Association

WHERE: 304 Washington St., Route 56 (Broad Street) and Seventh Avenue, and 418 Broad St., respectively

WHEN: The Johnstown Flood Museum and Heritage Discovery Center are open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day year-round. From Memorial Day through Labor Day, the museums offer extended hours until 7 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. The two sites are open holidays except New Year's Day, Easter, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. The Wagner-Ritter House and Garden will be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. All three museums are wheelchair-accessible.

ADMISSION: $6 for adults, $5 for senior citizens and $4 for students. Tickets are good for all three sites and are valid for a 30-day period, so it is not necessary to see all three on the same day.
