White 50th anniversary

Carol and Fred White

Fred and Carol White of Harmony celebrated 50 years of marriage by renewing their vows in June at Park United Presbyterian Church in Zelienople. A reception followed at the Harmony museum.

The former Carol Rice married White on June 21, 1956, at the Westminster Church Parsonage in Evans City.

They have three children: Garry White of Biloxi, Miss., Pamela Magill of Harmony and Todd White of Zelienople.

They also have 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.Mr. White is a lifelong Harmony resident who works part-time as a coach driver for the Myers bus line. He has been with the Harmony Volunteer Fire Department for 50 years and has served as chief and assistant chief. He is a member of the Butler County Fire Chiefs Association.Mrs. White works part-time for Dr. Kathleen Lamb in Cranberry Township. She also has been active in the HVFD, serving as a president of the ladies auxiliary, which no longer exists.The couple belongs to Park United Presbyterian Church.
