Rotary seeks professionals to visit S. Korea
The Rotary Clubs of Northwestern Pennsylvania are seeking four professional men and women who want to visit South Korea in May 2007 as part of a group study exchange program of the Rotary Foundation.
Applicants must be between the ages of 25 and 40 at the time of the monthlong trip. They will be accompanied by a Rotarian team leader.
The team will be hosted by a Rotary District in the Gangweon Province, just east of Seoul. They will participate in group tours of Korean businesses, industry, governmental offices, schools, and spend five days in activities relative to their own professions.
The Rotary Foundation pays for the airplane ticket, while Rotarian hosts in Korea provide meals, lodging and group travel. Team members pay only for personal and incidental expenses.
Applicants must be U.S. citizens and be employed full time in a business or profession. The ability to speak Korean is preferable but is not required. Relatives of Rotary members are not eligible.
The purpose of this exchange is to promote international understanding and goodwill through person-to-person contact.
