VALENCIA — The Glade Run United Presbyterian Church, 1091 Pittsburgh Road, Valencia, will host a Farmer's Market from 3 to 7 p.m. Fridays in the church parking lot.

Five percent of proceeds will be donated to missions fighting hunger in Darfur, Sudan through Samaritan's Purse.

The Butler County Community Parks and Recreation Department will host a Black Bear of Pennsylvania Program at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Carousel Shelter at Alameda Park.The Pennsylvania Game Commission will lead the program about the history of the black bear and bear population management methods.The program is part of the recreation department's 2006 Outdoor Discovery Series.

SAXONBURG — The Animal Partners of Butler County will host a rabies clinic from 2 to 4 p.m. Aug. 5 at Knoch High School.Cost is $6 per animal and all dogs must be on a leash and cats in carriers.
