CHERRY TWP — Tickets are now available for the Moniteau Scholarship Foundation's presentation of silent movies "Big Business," starring Laurel and Hardy, and "The Paleface,"starring Buster Keaton, at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 10 at the Blackwood residence.

The movies will be accompanied by organist Jim Riggs of California.

Tickets are $25 each or $125 for a ticket and framed, limited-edition print by American Watercolor Society artist William Vrscak of Pittsburgh.

The Butler County Community Parks and Recreation Department will host a Birds of Prey program at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Carousel Shelter of Alameda Park.The speaker will be Earl Shriver, master falconer, of Baden. The presentation will feature live birds.

PITTSBURGH — Registration is now being accepted for the Kayla's Run for SIDS 5K run and 2-mile run to be held July 23 at Baldwin High School.Registration is $16 for those registering by Monday or $18 on the day of the race.
