Harvick's, Lamar's Busch crew chiefs are suspended
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The crew chiefs for Kevin Harvick and Burney Lamar's Busch Series teams were suspended six races each Thursday for violations discovered at Daytona International Speedway.
Shane Wilson, Harvick's crew chief, was also fined $15,000 when NASCAR discovered unapproved aerodynamic modifications on the No. 21 Chevrolet.
Meanwhile, Lamar's No. 77 Chevrolet — owned by Harvick and his wife — failed post-race inspection when NASCAR discovered unapproved alterations to the shock absorbers.
Crew chief Gene Nead was suspended six races and fined $15,000.
