The Mars Public Library is now collecting recipes for a cookbook to be sold during the annual Mars Applefest in October.
Submission forms are available at the library. All recipes published will include the name of the contributor.
Recipes may be taken to the library; mailed to P.O. Box 415, Mars, PA 16046; or e-mailed to marscookbook@yahoo.com, with the subject line "Cookbook."
E-mailed recipes should be sent in the text of an e-mail, not as an attachment.

Families Forever seminar announced
A Families Forever Seminar, hosted by Lifesteps and Family Services of Butler Memorial Hospital, will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. July 15 at the Family First Resource Center, 216 N. Washington St.
The seminar will focus minimizing the effects of divorce on children.
A program for children in grades one through six will be held simultaneously.
Cost is $50 for adults and free for children. Child care is available for children ages 6 weeks through 5 years old.

ZELIENOPLE — St. Gregory Roman Catholic Church, 2 W. Beaver St., will host its annual Lawn Fete July 13 to 15.The event will include a fish dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday and a roast beef and ham dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday.Games and activities will begin at 7 p.m. July 13 and 14 and at 6 p.m. July 15.For information, call 724-452-7245.
