FRANKLIN TWP — AOne-Stop Shop Hop for quilters will be held during Lutherlyn's annual Summerfest Sunday.
The event will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Rice Hall, Lutherlyn Lane.
Admission to Summerfest is $5 for adults and $2 for children ages 5 to 12, and includes admission to the sale, which will feature several quilt supply vendors.
SUMMIT TWP — Registration for students entering preschool through eighth grade is now being accepted at St. Wendelin School, 211 St. Wendelin Road.The school is open to students of all faiths. MUDDY CREEK TWP — The Gaiser Addiction Center will have the 5th annual Gaiser Walk for Recovery at 10 a.m. July 9 at the McDanel's Launch on the north shore of Moraine State Park.Check-in time is 9 a.m.Walkers who collect at least $25 will receive a T-shirt. Checks should be made out to the Gaiser Addiction Center.The fundraiser will pay for repairs to the residential inpatient center.Following the walk will be an alumni and friends picnic with music, games, swimming, fishing, volleyball and a Chinese auction.The center needs food donated for the picnic and gifts for the auction.
The Butler After Five women's club is now accepting reservations for a dinner to be held at 6:30 p.m. July 11 at the Butler YWCA, 120 W. Cunningham St.The event will feature speakers David Dayton, owner of Slovak Folk Crafts and registered nurse Marge Herman who will speak on the topic "Make Believe World.Cost is $11 per person. CABOT — Cooper Cabin Pioneer Homestead, 199 Cooper Road, will be open for tours and programs from 1 to 4 p.m. July 9 and 23.Jesse Allen will demonstrate white oak slit basket making on July 9.On July 23, Beulah Frey, former cabin site chairwoman, will share Cooper family stories.Tours will be offered after each program.
