CHICORA — Professional quilter Pat Knoechel will present a Quilt in a Day program at 7 p.m. Monday at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Route 68.

Children and teens ages 3 to 16 are being sought to compete in the annual Butler County Kids Pageant to be held July 16 at the Butler Days Inn.Five titles will be awarded in three separate age groups. A Families Forever Seminar, hosted by Lifesteps and Family Services of Butler Memorial Hospital, will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Family First Resource Center, 216 N. Washington St.The seminar will focus on minimizing the effects of divorce on children.A program for children in grades one through six will be held simultaneously.Cost is $50 for adults and free for children.
