MARION TWP, Beaver County — Once again cars are replacing planes one Saturday per month this summer at the Zelienople Municipal Airport.

The Flashlight Drags is returning to the airport for the fifth year. The airport is just outside Zelienople in Marion Township, Beaver County. The cost to race is $25. Admission to watch the event is $5.

The summer schedule is:

• June 10: Gates open at 2 p.m., races from 4 to 8 p.m.

• Aug. 19: Gates open at 1:30 p.m., races from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m.

• Sept. 9: Gates open at 1:30 p.m., races from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m.

• Oct. 14:Gates open at 1 p.m., races from 3 to 7 p.m.

There are no races scheduled for the airport in July.

The rain date for a canceled race is the following Saturday, at the same time.
