CARLSBAD, Calif. — The top two activities mothers would most enjoy with their families on Mother's Day are walking and going to the park, according to a recent survey.

Nearly 2,000 moms took part in the online poll at www.jennycraig.com, with most picking a spa or salon gift certificate as their favorite gift and spending time with their family as their ideal way to celebrate the day.

"A perfect time to reinforce the importance of activity is during holiday gatherings, like Mother's Day. Family traditions can take the form of group activities including a walk, hike, or bike ride or a trip to the zoo, local mountains, beach or park," said Lisa Talamini, chief nutritionist and director of program development for Jenny Craig.
