Donnie Valentine of Cranberry Township won the 9-10 age division of the Pepsi-Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit and Run competition held recently at Knob Hill Park in Marshall Township.

Valentine was the pitching champion as well as overall champion. He advances to sectional competition May 21 at Green Valley Park.

St. Jude Golf Club pro Sean Knapp teamed with Nathan Smith to shoot a 1-over-par 141 and win the 52nd Fred Brand Foursomes Golf Championship at Longue Vue Thursday.Knapp and Smith defeated runnerups Frank Fairman and John Benson by six strokes.
