COLUMBUS, Ohio — Former Butler gymnast Eddie Hay, a freshman on the Ohio State University men's gymnastics team, placed ninth in floor exercise at the 2006 NCAAChampionships held recently at the University of Oklahoma.Hay qualified for the floor exercise finals by posting scores of 9.3, 9.475 and 9.062 over a three-day period.He placed third in floor exercise with a 9.625 at the Big Ten meet as Ohio State won the team championship. Hay is ranked sixth in the nation in floor exercise and has a career-high score of 9.75 in the event.
