FARMINGTON, Pa. — Michelle Wie has received a sponsor's exemption to play in the 84 Lumber Classic, giving the 16-year-old from Hawaii three starts on the PGA Tour this year.
Wie, who has not made the cut in seven previous times competing against men, will be part of the 144-player field Sept. 14-17 at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort & Spa.
BUFFALO TWP — Steady rain and the threat of more on the way caused an early end to the evening at Lernerville Speedway Friday night.Racing was postponed at 6:45 p.m., long before the first heat races were set to begin.

CANONSBURG — A foursome led by Butler's John Aubrey Sr. captured first place at a Tri-State Section PGA event, held at Southpointe Golf Club in Canonsburg Friday.Play was called after nine holes because of bad weather.Aubrey teamed with R.J. Olanyk, Tom Boozel and Greg Loverick to shoot a 57 in the best two balls out of four format.
