FBC set for trout stocking in county

The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission is gearing up for the annual preseason trout stocking of area streams and lakes.

The general public is welcome to observe and/or participate in this event. Those interested should arrive at the meeting locations 10 to 15 minutes before the times listed.

A short briefing of safety concerns and proper stocking technique will be given at the meeting locations before the actual stockings begin.

The Butler County trout stocking schedule follows:

Bear Creek:March 22, 11:45 a.m., meeting place: Bruin Lanes•

Bonnie Brook:next Friday, 11 a.m., meeting place: Lake Oneida, first bridge downstream of Damhoon Road•

Buffalo Creek:Saturday, 12:30 p.m., meeting place: Worthington Fire Hall parking lot•

Buffalo Run:April 1, 10:45 a.m., meeting place: Worthington Fire Hall parking lot•

Connoquenessing Creek:next Friday, 11 a.m., meeting place: Lake Oneida, first bridge downstream of Damhoon Road•

Glade Run Lake:April 11, 1 p.m., meeting place: Breast of Dam-Glade Mills between Butler and Pittsburgh•

Harbor Acres Lake:April 13, 11 a.m., meeting place: West Sunbury, north of the intersection of Routes308 and 138•

Silver Creek:March 22, 11:45 a.m., meeting place: Bruin Bowling Lanes•

Thorn Creek:March 13, 11 a.m., meeting place: Lake Oneida, first bridge downstream of Damhoon Road
