The Slippery Rock University women's basketball team missed an opportunity to clinch a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference playoff berth by dropping a 65-49 decision at Shippensburg University Saturday afternoon.

Kristen Bonner led SRU (13-13, 5-6) with 12 points and Angela Greaser added 11, but The Rock could not answer Shippensburg's 14-1 run to close the first half, after which the Raiders led 37-24.

SRU and Lock Haven are currently tied for the fourth and final playoff spot and both have one PSAC-West game left: SRU hosts Indiana (Pa.) University on Wednesday while Lock Haven hosts California (Pa.) University on Saturday.

The Rock would clinch a playoff berth with a win or a Lock Haven loss.
