BUTLER TWP — The youth group of Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 N. Duffy Road, will host an Italian-style Valentine's dinner from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Feb. 18.

Tickets are $6 per person and are available at the church office.

Child care will be available and donations will be accepted.

The Butler Area Public Library will host its next Mother/Daughter Book Discussion Group at 1 p.m. Feb. 25 at the library, 218 N. McKean St.The group will discuss the book "The Secret Garden" by Frances Hodgson Burnett.Registration is required. The Butler After Five women's club will host a Happy Heart's Day Dinner at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Butler YWCA, 120 W. Cunningham St.The event will feature a musical performance by Sharon Perschke. PENN TWP — Penn Christian Academy, 199 W. NEW YORK — The National Audubon Society and the Cornell Lab of Ornithology have announced the ninth annual Great Backyard Bird Count, to be held Feb. 17 to 20.Volunteer bird watchers are needed to spot and record bird sightings in a designated area.
