The Butler County Commissioners on Wednesday recognized

Ben Cypher, ladder captain for the Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Company, for his 50 years of service with the department.Cypher has already been honored by the fire department.Commissioner Chairman Scott Lowe praised Cypher, citing his "tireless efforts." Commissioners Jim Kennedy and Glenn Anderson agreed Cypher deserved recognition for his dedication.Cynthia Azari, president of Butler County Community College, also lauded Cypher for his work with the college's emergency training program.Cypher encouraged younger emergency service personnel to continue volunteering their time."It's good for you and for the county," he said.Lowe noted: "It's people like Ben Cypher who make Butler County a wonderful place to live."———

Portrait artist <b>Lisa Sten</b> of Prospect will have her work featured in the show "Mostly Redheads" to be held through Feb. 25 at Artworks Around Town in Wheeling, W.Va.———
