CONNOQUENESSING TWP — As part of its Saturday Safari programs, the Lutherlyn Environmental Education Program will host a Bird Feeder Building and Bird Observation Seminar from 9:30 a.m. to noon Feb. 4.

Cost is $5 per person and an additional $8 for bird feeder materials.

The program will include bird watching, construction of bird feeders and tips for attracting birds. Participants should take their own hammer.

The facility is located off Dick Road, just south of Route 422.

SAXONBURG — The Senior Adult Ministry at Outlook Pointe, 100 Bella Court, Saxonburg, will host a luncheon Thursday in the meeting room.The luncheon will feature guest speakers Albert and Audrey Burkett, who will speak on their recent mission trip to Thailand.Admission is $3 and reservations are required. MARS — Donations of used books are being accepted at the Mars Public Library, 107 Grand Ave., for a book sale to be held Feb. 17, 18 and 19.Donations will be accepted through Feb. 14. FORD CITY — A General Educational Development test will be conducted from 6 to 10 p.m. Feb. 14 and 15 at Ford City Junior/Senior High School, Fourth Avenue and 11th Street, Ford City.Cost for the test is $50. Participants must be at least 18.Candidates 16 and 17 must present a written request from an employer, educational institution or armed forces recruiting officer.The deadline to register for the exam is Feb. 10.Registration forms are available at the Armstrong School District Administration Building, 410 Main St., Ford City.Applicants must present a photo identification at the time of testing.
